2008

The May Days event program is now available! Get your copy at Save-On-Foods Ladner, or at the Grapes-4-U Wine Store in the Ladner Harbour Mall.

Ladner May Days will soon have a new chairperson! Current sponsorship chairperson Jackey Zellweger will be assuming the position of May Days Chair immediately following the 2008 May Days Fair.

The 2008 Ladner May Days schedule has now been posted on the Schedule page.

New parade rules! Beginning this year all parade entrants will be subject to a float inspection. The purpose of this inspection is to ensure that parade floats are in good working order, with all attachments securely fastened.

2007

The 2007 Ladner May Days Fair and Parade was a big success! Thanks to all who attended and participated in the festivities. Congratulations to Miss Chelsea Pheips for being selected the 2007 Delta May Queen. Congratulations also to the Westham Island Herb Farm our 2007 first place winner for best float in the parade. The Ellis family, owners of Westham Island Herb Farm, have participated in every May Days parade in Ladner since 1896!

2006

The 2006 Ladner May Days Fair and Parade was a big success! Thanks to all who attended and participated in the festivities. Congratulations to Miss Stephanie Donofrio of Brooke Elementary for being selected the 2006 Delta May Queen. Congratulations also to the Westham Island Herb Farm our 2006 first place winner for best float in the parade. The Ellis family, owners of Westham Island Herb Farm, have participated in every May Days parade in Ladner since 1896!


We look forward to seeing everyone at the 2007 Ladner May Days Fair and Parade, which will feature award-winning children’s entertainer Charlotte Diamond!

The next May Days meeting is scheduled for Monday March 6, 7:30pm in the upstairs conference room of the Ladner Legion on Delta Street. We invite you to bring your ideas and enthusiasm!  All are welcome to attend!

The next May Days meeting is scheduled for March 14, 7:30pm in the upstairs conference room of the Ladner Legion on Delta St.  All are welcome to attend!

Thanks to all who attended our 2005 Annual General Meeting and Election.  The 2005 May Days Committee is looking forward to great fair this year.  Thanks to all who stepped forward to volunteer.

The Ladner Pioneer May Days Annual General Meeting and Election is scheduled for Monday, February 28 at 7:30pm at the Ladner Legion (upstairs conference room) on Delta Street in Ladner.  Any one interested in attending is welcome.  We need volunteers to keep Delta's oldest tradition alive and well!!!

February 2005 -- The Ladner Pioneer May Days web-site is now up and running for the 2005 May Days Fair & Parade.  Many thanks to Andy Heiser for all his help.  Check back for more updates soon.

January 2005 -- The return of the May Days Tug-o-War!  This year the May Days Fair will host the return of the "Farmer's Challenge" tug-o-war featuring local Delta organizations battling it out for the first prize trophy.
